A diagnostic, not a questionnaire
The assessment establishes a readiness baseline across six dimensions that outside decision-makers evaluate. The score is one output. The real value is understanding what is already strong, what may reduce confidence, what should be addressed first, and how readiness can improve over the next 90 days.

The six readiness categories
Strategy & Direction
Can leadership clearly define where the organization is going and what capital is intended to accomplish?
Organizational Story
Can an outside decision-maker quickly understand who you are, what you do, and why your opportunity matters?
Financial Readiness
Do the numbers give an outside decision-maker confidence?
Governance & Operations
Can the organization demonstrate that it has the leadership, controls, systems, and capacity to execute?
Impact & Performance
Can the organization prove that its work is producing measurable results?
Capital & Relationships
Does the organization know where capital may come from and have the relationships required to compete for it?
How scoring works
Each category contains five statements rated from “Not in Place” to “Strongly in Place.” Each category converts to a 0–100 score, and the overall score is the average of the six categories. The calculation is deterministic and auditable — the thresholds below are prototype values.
- Foundation Needed0–39
- Several fundamental readiness elements should be addressed before actively pursuing major capital opportunities.
- Developing Readiness40–59
- Important pieces exist, but significant gaps could reduce confidence with outside decision-makers.
- Building Readiness60–74
- The organization has a meaningful foundation but should strengthen several areas before pursuing major opportunities aggressively.
- Opportunity Ready — With Gaps75–89
- The organization demonstrates substantial readiness, with several targeted improvements likely to strengthen its position.
- Strong Capital Readiness90–100
- The organization demonstrates strong preparation across the major dimensions of capital readiness.
